What are Microblading and Ombré Powder Brows?

Microblading is a semi-permanent manual tattoo technique that mimics the look of fuller yet natural-looking brows with realistic hair-like strokes - done using a sterile manual blade depositing pigment into the broken skin. This is typically best for clients with sparse brows who want fullness. This is best for clients with normal to dry skin, as oily skin with large pores can heal with thick, blurry, faded, and/or blended-together strokes.

Ombré Powder Brows is also a semi-permanent tattoo technique, except it mimics a powdery makeup look on the brows.

This is done with a machine and a needle head that pokes the skin to deposit pigment. Usually darker at the tails of the brow, with an ombré look that lightens at the fronts of the brows. This can be done bold (similar to a sharp concealer brow makeup look) or soft (like a brow tint), however the client desires!

Results are best for ALL skin types. Ombré is a great choice for clients with a lot of and/or thicker brow hairs who are looking for a more defined and symmetric shape. Ombré Powder Brows may be recommended to you at your appointment if you have booked for Microblading, depending on your skin type (thickness, age, oiliness, etc.)

Combination Brows -- This is a combination of Microblading and Ombré. A natural hair-stroke look in the fronts, with some more definition towards the tails. We add hair strokes to the fronts of the brow for a more natural look (strokes can also be done on the arch, depending on the look you want). Combination Brows is best for normal to dry skin due to the strokes, but is a great alternative to ombre if client is interested in microblading. Combo Brows may be recommended to you at your appointment if you have booked for Microblading, depending on your skin type (thickness, age, oiliness, etc.)

I have combination / oily skin, can I still get microblading?

Yes! Oilier skin is usually a concern when you have larger pores or textured skin on the brow and forehead area. If this is the case, then it is definitely recommended to start off with an ombré style brow, or even a combination brow, as the microblading alone is likely to fade away on this skin type.

If your skin can get oily in the T-zone, but does not have large pores or is not textured, then microblading is just fine! You also always have the option of adding shading (whether to do a combo brow or an ombre brow) when you come back in for your touch up! You're also not tied to whatever service you chose at the time of booking, we'll do a full consult and decide together what's best for you!

  • Permanent Makeup brows are ideal for anyone wanting to enhance the natural look of their eyebrows, with hair-like strokes, or a soft powdery makeup look.

  • People suffering from alopecia, chemotherapy, trichotillomania or any other conditions that cause hair loss benefit greatly from Microblading and Ombré Powder brows, as well as those who simply aren’t happy with their sparse, thin or uneven eyebrows!

Does microblading hurt?

At Browz, we numb the skin with a cream prior to beginning the procedure, as well as multiple times with a liquid-gel during the procedure into the broken skin. This eases any discomfort and pain the client may feel. Clients may relate the feeling to that of threading eyebrows. About a discomfort level of 1-3 out of 10. Everyone's level of sensitivity is different, but we do what we can to ensure minimal pain!

My brows have previous microblading/tattoo, can you touch them up?

Only my previous clients can receive a touch-up with me. New clients must book a first session appointment for corrective work. You will need to send over pictures of your brows prior to booking, so I can ensure whether it is something I can work over. Please send pictures via text, email, or Instagram DM.

How often do I need to come in for a touch up?

You will come in for your first session, then follow up in 6-12 weeks for your first touch up. After this, you should be good to go for 1-3 years. Refreshes times are dependent on the amount of fading. It is not necessary to come in at the 1 year mark, that can be too soon for some clients. All returning clients must send in photos of their brows to determine if it is time for a refresh. Gradual fading over time is expected until brows have faded enough for a refresh!

What forms of payment do you accept?

I only accept cash, Zelle, and Apple Cash.

Apple Cash payments are done via iMessage and does not allow credit card usage.
