Frequently Asked Questions

Microblading is a semi-permanent tattoo technique that mimics the look of fuller yet natural-looking brows with realistic hair-like strokes - done using a sterile manual blade depositing pigment into the skin. This is typically best for clients with thin brow hairs who want fuller brows and the most natural results. This is best for clients with normal to dry skin, as oily skin with large pores can heal with thicker and blurred strokes.
Nano Brows (Machine Microblading) is a similar look of hair-strokes, but done with a machine and needle cartridges. This technique gives the artist more freedom with the hair-stroke patterns. This is best for clients who like the natural hair-stroke fluff look, have thicker more coarse brow hairs (even if thin or sparse), or have no little to no hairs at all (i.e. alopecia). This works better on more skin types than microblading. Although some fading can still be present with oilier skin types, it is a better alternative to microblading.
Ombré Powder Brows is also a semi-permanent tattoo technique, except it mimics a powdery brow tint look on the brows. This is done with a machine and a needle cartridge as well. Usually fuller at the tails of the brow, with an ombré look that lightens at the fronts of the brows. This can be done bold (similar to a concealer brow makeup look) or soft (like a brow tint), however the client desires! Can be natural depending on the amount of hairs present. Results are best for ALL skin types. Ombré is a great choice for clients with a lot of and/or thicker brow hairs who are looking for a more defined and symmetric shape.
Combination Brows is a combination of Microblading/Nano and Ombré Powder, with a natural hair-stroke look in the fronts and some more definition towards the tails. Strokes can also be done on the arch, depending on the look you desire. Combination Brows is best for most skin types and clients who want the best of both worlds.
Brow mapping - we use specific measuring techniques to maximize the symmetry and finalize the perfect shape suiting each face. We do not begin until you are fully confident with the shape we have drawn on!
At Browz, we use the best products and pigments to ensure the finest healed results. There is never any concern for unnatural red/blue pigment over the years. All materials used during each and every appointment are 100% sterile and disposable.
These services can last anywhere from 1 to 3 years, depending on your skin type and color, age, lifestyle, and your following of the before and after care instructions.
Permanent Makeup brows are ideal for anyone wanting to enhance the natural look of their eyebrows, with hair-like strokes, or a soft powdery look. People suffering from alopecia, chemotherapy, trichotillomania or any other conditions that cause hair loss benefit greatly from this, as well as those who simply aren’t happy with their sparse, thin or uneven eyebrows!

LIP BLUSH: if you are prone to cold sores - please read cold sore solution at the bottom of this page
Please email us with any questions you may have!
***** IMPORTANT FOR LIP BLUSH CLIENTS: If you have a history of cold sores or are prone to them, you will have to start taking an anti-viral prescription (Valacyclovir, Denavir (Penciclovir), Valtrex or Acyclovir (Zovirax)), at least 4-7 days BEFORE your appointment. You must contact your physician and ask for a prescription. Cold sore outbreaks are often triggered by stress or trauma to the lips and skin. Therefore, lip blush procedure will most likely cause an outbreak if you do not take an anti-viral medication prior. Your appointment WILL be cancelled if you have had a history of cold sores and do not follow these instructions (with cancellation fees). Cold sores will affect the healing process, your results, and can even lead to scarring. Please do not skip this step.

Yes! The artist will go over all the details at the start of your appointment, doing a full consult to determine which brow style is best for you. Taking into consideration your skin type, lifestyle, preference, if and how you draw your brows on, and of course how your brows naturally look, we'll choose what style is best then, so no consultation is necessary. You are not tied to the service type you choose at the time of booking!
-
At Browz, we use numbing agents as necessary to keep pain at a minimum. Depending on the service type, we will either pre-numb you or solely numb throughout the procedure. Topical numbing anesthetics used only, no injectables. Clients may relate the feeling to that of threading eyebrows. About a discomfort level of 1-3 out of 10. Everyone's level of sensitivity is different, but we do what we can to ensure minimal pain!
-
Only previous Browz clients can receive a “touch-up”. New clients must book a first session appointment for “corrective work”. You will need to send over pictures of your brows prior to booking, to ensure it is something we can work over. Please send pictures via email to info@browzdc.com.
-
You will come in for your first session, then again for a touch-up in 6-12 weeks.
After this, you should be good to go for 1-3 years! Refresh times are dependent on the amount of fading. It is not necessary to come in at the 1 year mark, that can be too soon for some clients. All returning clients must send in photos of their brows to determine if it is time for a refresh. Gradual fading over time is expected until brows have faded enough for a refresh!
-
3+ MONTHS — $200, 6+ MONTHS — $250, 9+ MONTHS — $300
ANNUAL REFRESH — $350, 18 MONTHS — $400, 2 YEARS — $600
refresh pricing can vary depending on the amount of fading
